Do I need to buy a SIM card?
No. H2 has an eSIM built in and connects to the strongest local carrier automatically. You manage the 4G data & cloud plan right in the AIDOVID app.
Will sentinel mode drain my battery?
Sentinel mode is designed for parking: standby draw is under 1 mA equivalent, and built-in low-voltage protection shuts monitoring down before your battery drops below a safe starting threshold.
Does it work without a subscription?
Yes — H2 records to its microSD card like a regular dash cam, plan or no plan. A data plan adds the remote layer: live view, event alerts, GPS tracking, and cloud backup.
Does it record audio legally?
Cabin audio can be switched off with one press of the mic button. Some US states require passenger consent for audio recording — check your local rules; video is generally fine.
