Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this website and your purchase of SmartSF products from Shenzhen Zhimou Shijie Technology Co., Ltd. (“SmartSF Cam”, “we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to these Terms.

1. Products and orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for pricing or listing errors, in which case you will be refunded in full. Prices are in US dollars and may change without notice; the price at checkout is the price you pay.

2. Connectivity and subscriptions

H2’s 4G connectivity, cloud storage, and remote features depend on a data and cloud plan. Plans are not sold by us and not bought on this website. They are bought, changed and cancelled inside the SmartSF app (listed as AIDOVID in the App Store and on Google Play), and they are billed by the app operator through your app store account or the payment method you give it there. We publish the prices and what each tier includes so you can read them before you buy the camera; the billing relationship is between you and the app operator, and their terms and cancellation rules apply.

A plan is a recurring subscription: unless you cancel it, it renews at the end of each service period and the card on file is charged again. A new H2 has 30 days of Standard features at no charge, but you claim them in the app once the camera is paired — they do not start on their own. That is a device benefit, not a subscription, and nothing is charged for it. Separately, a first paid subscription begins with a 30-day trial: cancel at any point before it ends and you pay nothing; the first charge falls due only once the trial is over. Cancel in the SmartSF app under your account and plans. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund a period already paid for, and the camera keeps recording to its memory card either way.

Cellular coverage varies by location and carrier and is not guaranteed. Local recording to a memory card functions without a plan.

3. Lawful use

A dash camera is a driving-assistance recording tool — it does not replace safe, attentive driving. You are responsible for complying with all applicable traffic, surveillance, and privacy laws, including state laws that require occupant consent for audio recording (the microphone can be disabled on the device), and for mounting the device so it does not obstruct the driver’s view or any airbag deployment area.

4. Footage and data

You are responsible for backing up important footage. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of footage caused by memory-card failure, formatting, loop overwriting, or device malfunction.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, product design, and branding — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

6. Warranty and returns

Products include a 1-year limited warranty and a 30-day return policy, described on the warranty and shipping & returns pages, which form part of these Terms.

7. Disclaimers

We do not warrant that monitoring, alerts, or cloud upload will be uninterrupted or error-free, and a dash camera is not a substitute for insurance, an alarm system, or emergency services. This website is provided on an “as is” basis. Nothing in this paragraph limits the written warranty that comes with the camera, or any right you have under state law that cannot be waived.

We do not disclaim the implied warranties that come with the product. Because the H2 is sold with a written warranty, implied warranties are limited in duration to the length of that written warranty and not otherwise excluded. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so that limitation may not apply to you. See the warranty page.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or this site will not exceed the amount you paid for the product, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any right you have under state consumer law that cannot be waived.

9. Governing law

SmartSF Cam is the brand of Shenzhen Zhimou Shijie Technology Co., Ltd., a company registered in Shenzhen, China. Orders are sold and supported in English for customers in the United States, and warranty and return handling is run by that company.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this clause takes away the protection of the consumer laws of the state you live in, or your right to bring a claim where those laws allow it.
